I am like many others who thought there wasn't many of us! I guess that makes it more difficult finding where my line starts. Our family ended up in norfolk via essex from london. Fathers name james henry, grandads name james alfred. would be good to hear from anyone who has or wants information.

I thought this name was so rare untill my brother googled it, but my family are nowhere to be found on there, my grand parents are William & Doreen Lewarne(both have passed) they had 10 children in all, but where are we? i suppose thats why its called a family tree, so many branches and we could be on any one of them.

I went to school with a Janice Lewarne back in the 1960's in Bancroft, Zambia. I would love to get in touch with her again. Her family moved to South Africa in the mid 60' and after a couple of years we lost contact. If anyone knows her whereabouts, please forward to me on my email address. Thanks.

I was a Lewarne by marriage.
I married Ken, the eldest son of Ken (Bolton) His father was a twin to Leslie; both were brought up in the Channel Islands. Both twins named their first sons after themselves. Leslie (son) now lives in Perth Australia, as Ken, myself and our children do, although neither of us knew that the other family lived here when we came in 1973)Les's mother Vicky is also here.

Martin: you must be one of my nephews from Bolton? Are you one of Bernards & Joan's son?

Paul: where do you fit into the family? Who are your parents? I met Uncle Arther years ago, wasn't he married to Enid/Edna .... was that Uncle Peter?

I'm happy for you to email me if you have any Q's.

My grandfather was called Arthur Le Warne and he had a brother called Ken. I believe he/Ken ended up in Bolton during the War. Both orignally came from Jersey C.I. Would be interesting to see if there is any connection.

I didn't realise there were so many of us. I can't find any of my parents or grandparents from the descendants of Richard Lewarne and
Sampson Lewarne. My grandfather was called Kenneth Lewarne. He was a twin. My grandfather had 7 children (Kenneth, Bernard, Patrick, Alan, Anthony, Bernadette and Lilian)). The family is now scattered over the UK, but they were all brought up in Bolton, Lancs.

Amazing to finally see the origins of our family name. Very well done indeed. I shall be passing this on to the rest of the south east London and northwest Kent Le Warne's, and hope to do some more research of my own in the furure (when time allows!).
Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.
